OUTREACH and MINISTRY TRAINING
HANDS ON MINISTRY TRAINING
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel…” Mark 16:15
Outreach is a core value at Bluegrass Master's Commission. Through hands on ministry training, students regularly have the opportunity to step out of their comfort zones and show the love of Jesus in practical ways. They are also given the opportunity to discover their purpose and direction while ministering in as many avenues of life as possible.
Whether it be performing dramas and leading worship on the streets, to helping the local church hand out food to the needy or ministering to the children and students in schools, or whatever it might be, students learn the love of God by being able show love to others in the community. It is our desire to give our students every opportunity to fulfill the great commission and to instill in them the passion to do so.
Students will be connected with the different areas of ministry available at Evangel World Prayer Center as well as with ministries in Louisville, the surrounding cities, the state of Kentucky and nationwide.
Missions is vital to fulfilling the call of God in our lives. It is the passion and heart of Jesus himself and we are dedicated to accomplishing His will. Students will be challenged to develop a heart for missions through domestic or foreign missions trips.
Overseas trips may include India, Nepal, Guatemala, Bahamas and Turkey to just name a few.
We typically will go on one domestic trip and one foreign trip throughout the school year with an option for one possible foreign trip during summer break. We encourage each student to take this opportunity as finances allow. Domestic missions may include Mardi Gras Outreach, Ohio Dream Center, F.R.E.E. International and many others.
It is the call of God on every believers life to win souls. Leading people to Jesus is the mission of a disciple. Students will be challenged to embrace this purpose with passion. As mentioned above, students will have many opportunities to reach people for Christ. Ministry in the streets and in the church can take on different forms, so it is necessary that a believer know how to follow the spirit in both aspects. Students will have the opportunity to speak to those who have never heard and to those who need to be challenged to grow in their faith.
